  1. Time is measured by the earth's movements

  1. There are many different calendars used in the world but most follow the movements of the sun and the moon
Shadow Clocks
  1. There is some evidence that shadow clocks or sundials are some of the oldest devices to measure time

  1. Over 600 years ago sand clocks measured time by how long it took sand or salt to pass from the top container to the bottom container
